No. 4 – Bryce Thompson gets another pick-six

Vols’ freshman defensive back Bryce Thompson almost went to South Carolina to play for Will Muschamp. I suppose now looking back on how the recruitment went down Muschamp wishes Thompson was playing for the Gamecocks.

The young athlete has found a home at Tennessee and specifically in the defensive backfield. Thompson alongside fellow freshman Alontae Taylor will certainly cause a lot of trouble for opposing quarterbacks and receivers in the future because they are proving they can play on the college level now.

After his first start against ETSU earlier in the season, Thompson received SEC Freshman of the Week honors. He finished the game with four total tackles and an interception that was almost returned for a touchdown.

A few weeks ago in the upset win against the Auburn Tigers, Thompson had five total tackles with one pass deflection and an interception.

For our first bold prediction for the game, Bryce Thompson will not only have an interception but a pick-six.
