In the process, the guy finished with a double-double, scoring 11 points and getting 10 rebounds in just over 20 minutes of action. That comes after a year in which he backed up Kyle Alexander and only averaged 12 minutes a game, grabbing just over three points and two and a half rebounds during those minutes.
However, as we mentioned in the previous post, nobody on ENMU was over 6’7″, giving him a huge advantage at 6’9″ 212 pounds. If he was going to take a major leap after three years of experience playing and four in the system, it would have been shameful for him not to dominate.
As a result, similar to Zach Kent, we can’t read too much into what he did. Fulkerson still has a lot to prove, and dominating an exhibition opponent like that proves nothing. Despite his start Wednesday, he is also more built to play the four anyway.
Similar to Kent, Fulkerson also once had a season-ending injury. He struggled to consistently fill in for Alexander the last two years. But given the openings down low, he has the potential to take a huge leap this year. And he will certainly see lots more minutes.
