Tennessee Vols Pick Up Four-Star Running Back Carlin Fils-Aime

The Tennessee Vols football program picked up a big commit on Thursday.

Four-star running back Carlin Fils-Aime, out of Naples, Fla., announced on Twitter that he would be bringing his talents north to the Volunteer State.

This marks another big recruiting win for Butch Jones, as the back chose the Vols over the Auburn Tigers. Fils-Aime also garnered interest from Alabama, Ohio State, and Miami to name a few.

The speed back fills one of the biggest concerns in the 2016 class. With running back depth being an issue for this year, it could potentially be disastrous next season if running back Alvin Kamara were to enter the draft.

Fils-Aime brings the 2016 class to 14 total commits, and currently the only running back in the class. Vol fans should be rejoicing that a top tier running back has decided to bring his speed to Knoxville, but there is concern that this signals the end of the pursuit of five-star running back Tavien Feaster.

Feaster, a Clemson commit, gave the Vols a 50-50 chance after his walk on the orange carpet, but he was believed to have been told that he would be the only back in the class.

Do not count out the idea of Feaster to Tennessee, and the 2016 class picking up two big time running back commits, but it does look less likely now.

Regardless, the Vols have picked up a big potential talent that fits the spread system of Butch Jones and staff, and gives the Vols more security in the future backfield.
